Amazing

In case you didn’t know it, our God is awesome!  If you have never met him and experienced that, I guess you’ll have to take my word for it—or let me introduce you to HIM!  I just wanted to say how incredible it is to watch God work, both in my life and in the lives of those around me!  I love watching him work!  You can’t help but be in awe, especially when he works all the details out!  He is just huge and I love it!  Also, this morning we started our worship experience off with Baptism.  That is probably one of the highlights of being a pastor in my opinion.  I love the opportunity to get to participate in that act with someone.  I am not sure what Baptism means to you, but for me it represents that we don’t have to have it all figured out.  We don’t have to be some superhero christian….it reminds me that God uses the ordinary to accomplish the extraordinary for his kingdom…that’s  true with me…trust me, nothing special here….It means that we just have to love the Lord and have a desire to follow him….It is an outward sign of an inward commitment and it shows the World that those who are being baptized have had a moment in their life where they realized they couldn’t do it on their own anymore, they needed him!  They said “God, I am your canvas…here are the brushes, here is the paint, let’s go paint something cool.”  It’s especially cool for those watching that day….I’ll usually have any family or friends stand in support of the decision that has been made and today we had an elementary and middle school student get baptized….it’s so cool to see students stand up in the crowd and say, “we’re proud of you, we’ll pray for you, we’ll encourage you, we’ll walk with you!”  It’s just awesome—–that totally moves me to watch folks come to that point, that moment where they say, “God-let’s go paint a masterpiece!”  I hope you are allowing God to paint a masterpiece in your life….he wants to, if you’ll let him!  Whoaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!  What a Day!

”King Jesus, thank you that you are the mighty to save, that you are everlasting, that the earth is full of your glory, that you will never leave us, that you will never let us fall.  King Jesus  you are indescribable, in comprehensible, uncontainable and we love you!  King Jesus I pray that the declaration, the cry of our heart would be to bow down in worship for you…that we might enter the throne room of worship, EVERYDAY!  thanks for working in our lives and moving us from ordinary to extraordinary!  in Jesus name…”
