Fellowship of Christian Athletes

so for about the past year or so I have found myself at PCHS for FCA every Friday morning.  No I’m not speaking every week (the students would get real bored at that) but I am there just to build relationships with students.  At any rate, I have seen changes take place in these students lives over the last 12 months and I’m looking forward to seeing what’s ahead.  It’s the stories that I hear from kids that makes all the work that goes into being a Student Pastor worth it.  Today a story was shared that reminded me also that FCA huddles are alive and well in Paulding County and are beginning a movement out here…..Today, it was shared that 200 students, that’s right, 200 students have given their life to Christ since the school year began as a result of FCA huddles in the schools.  That is awesome!!!!  God is totally working through FCA out here and some great things are in store.  Another thing that is pretty cool, FCA’s are student run!  That means that students aren’t the future of anything (I really hate that statement that you hear in church) they are as much of the present as anyone else.  And I’ll be honest, they have played a role in 200 new believers over the last 2 months…..How many of us “adults” can say we have done that?!?!?  Pray for FCA’s in Paulding County, GA….they are starting a revolutionary movement—-by allowing God to work in AND through them!
